Services & Pricing
Hi, I’m Tarah, and I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to explore therapy is an act of courage, and I deeply value the trust it takes to invite someone into your personal story. I have been providing mental health therapy since 2011, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, each seeking understanding, healing, and growth in their own way.
Many people reach out when they find themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or ready for change. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I aim to remove the stigma that can surround mental health and instead create a safe, transparent, and supportive space where you can explore what’s happening in your life without judgment. Together, we’ll work to uncover what’s been holding you back, strengthen your ability to cope, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence and clarity.
In individual therapy, I help clients gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, behaviors, and relationships while learning effective strategies to navigate life’s challenges. In couples therapy, we work together to rebuild trust, improve communication, and create a healthier, more connected partnership. For those seeking family therapy, sessions are focused on identifying patterns, improving communication, and fostering a stronger sense of stability and support within the family system.
A specialty area of my work is trauma resolution therapy, which focuses on helping clients heal from painful or distressing experiences that continue to affect their lives. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)—both evidence-based approaches designed to reduce the emotional intensity and physical reactions tied to traumatic memories. ART helps the brain reprocess distressing images and sensations so they no longer trigger overwhelming responses, often bringing relief within just a few sessions. TF-CBT is a narrative approach that combines trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive and behavioral techniques to help clients understand their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and restore a sense of safety and empowerment.
My areas of focus include relationship and family issues, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathetic, and grounded in helping clients feel both supported and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Reaching out for support is a powerful first step. Please email me rootsandbranchescs@gmail.com, or click the link below to schedule a session. Wherever you are in your journey, therapy can provide the space, insight, and tools you need to move toward healing, growth, and renewed confidence.

Insurance:
Roots and Branches Counseling Services is an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. Some insurance companies have out-of-network reimbursement options. Clients with out-of-network benefits will need to submit a bill of services ("Superbill") for possible reimbursement. The best way to find out if you have out-of-network coverage is to call the number on the back of your insurance card.
For those wanting to submit a Superbill, this will be provided to you on a monthly basis. Please let me know, so I can prepare one for you. Please confirm reimbursement policies with your insurance company.
Below are some questions to ask when calling your insurance provider so that you are financially prepared for your first appointment.
- Do I have an out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session? (They may reimburse a different amount than what I charge.)
